Salzburgring, Austria, September 23, 2012

Super organized by Moto Center Obersee, two days of Fun Racing by Honda Switzerland took place on the fast Salzburgring. The Saturday was rained off, but Sunday was the hammer. It was impressive to go to the max with my 1000cc Honda Fireblade Repsol on the uphill back straight until 6 Transition (almost) full speed up (it takes courage, but it’s really …), my top speed was there over 250km/h!

The Salzburg Ring is a high speed track with 6 left and right-handers and a left / right chicane after the 750m long start-finish straight. A beautiful track, 4.5 km long and perfect string imbedded in the hilly, forested landscape.

Almeria Race Cirquit 25.8.12. – 2.9.12

Well organized by Moto Center Obersee, I did my “coming out” at a racetrack with 20 other “crazy racers”. It was a great experience, including the final race on Friday (12). My fastest time was a low 1:58, the best of us achieved 1:50. For comparison, this is the house and Training Course of the Spanish Moto2 rider Tito Rabat, and his time is around 1:38! The Almeria Racing cirquit is a typical driver’s track where you almost never comes to rest, the track is very twisty, hilly, with blind journeys and 4.5km long.

Rear-drive camerarun Bonneville Speed Trials

For this run we attached an HD camera on the back of the naked bullet racing bike. The first 3 courses accelerated perfectly, in the fourth and fifth input I had ignition problems (by a defective alternator). Nevertheless resulted in a 255km/h average speed measured in the mile run (at the beginning and end was marked with two additional green flags next to the red flags).
